Patrollers, office
staff and
directors are volunteers living in our communities. We welcome
people with varied backgrounds and experiences. All volunteers must
agree to the following:
|

|
- to undergo an RCMP security check
- to provide their own transport for patrols, or observe
and record while another volunteer drives her/his vehicle
- to assume any costs associated
with, or resulting from their patrol activities
- to attend a COP meeting one evening each month, except
in July
and August
- to follow Prospect Road Citizens on Patrol procedures
when on patrol
- to follow various special procedures in some
circumstances
- to perform a minimum of four hours per month on
patrol. (Duty days and times are chosen by the volunteer.)
- to notify the co-ordinator if unable to perform any
shift as scheduled
Our primary purpose is to help make our communities safer
places to live, and our members take satisfaction in doing this. We
hope even more community members will join us in this useful service.
Patrols are done with a driver and observer in the car, so you may wish
to join with someone to form a patrol team. Office staff may work in
teams, or alone. Please drop off an application
at our office,
or call us at 852-2141 for
more information.
Some of the communications gear ready
for special patrols deployment this past Halloween.
We provide extra patrols on special days and for certain events in our
area.
